My Verizon 8330 needed a lot of updates and after an hour of installation I was prompted to run the setup wizard. None of the apps were removed, but their settings were reset (mail, google apps, twitterberry, facebook, etc.). The good news is that I now have a much needed backup & calendar synch on the mac.
