I confirm it is really easy, my old s10e is now running osx 10.6, sound, wi-fi, bluetooth, internal mic working, only thing missing the built in camera, I used the msiwindosx86.iso from tpb and chameleon from tonymacx86.

Lenovo s10 ethernet port is working with Lenovo enabler 1.1.18 and max os x 10.6.6.

Did you ever find a resolve to the update? I tried updating through the software update and mine went through a infinite loop as well. If you have a resolve to this it will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

mine..the installation was running well, until it restarted itself, but when the netbook reboot, the screen just black and show “missing operating system” warning message….how should i do?? (btw i used the MAC OS Extended Journaled as a partition and SL Retail DVD as the OS)

SL 10.6 installs fine, but when I run the software upgrade and install 10.6.3, my S10 goes into an infinite reboot loop. I’ve found posts from other folks with similar loop problems, but I can’t use the fix I see posted – my machine has never shown a bootloader screen. It goes straight from the Lenovo logo to the desktop. Hitting F8 gets me to a white screen with an Apple logo, but all of the boot choices (single user, verbose, etc.) still result in a reboot loop. There’s nowhere for me to type in the -s, etc. that other users have suggested.

Any suggestions?

try going into utilities..format disck to (which ever disk you select) mac os(extended journaled)..then go back and try to install again..it will ask you to select the disc to install mac os x into..select the disc you have formatted..it should proceed fine

Hi all
I haven’t been able to install SL. I can open the OS X installer through the USB, and it looks like everything is going to work fine. I select a language, the computer thinks for a bit, and then I get the unexplained message “OS X cannot be installed on this computer.”

Any thoughts?

I installed Snow Leoprd 10.6 on my lenovo s10 from a USB drive I prepared from a Snow Leopard DVD bought on Amazon(legit copy from apple)..and with the help of s10 enabler downloaded from lenovos10 forum( kudos to Silverzeroo)..
looks like everything working except for sleep and how to connect it to external monitor/LCD TV..has any one got any luck with these issues..for me being able to connect it to LCD TV either through VGA or HDMI is very essential..any input would be greatly appreciated..thanks
