Hrm. Call me old fashioned, but hacking my file manager, which should be the most stable and non-crashy of any app on my system, does not seem to me the greatest idea in the world.

Of course, FTFF is not a new chant, but I think those people were expecting -Apple- to fix it, not a third party developer who has to hack it to make it work properly. Also, SIMBL is an InputManager hack, and those are likely to go away in the next few revisions of OS X - or at the very least, locked down a great deal.

Don't get me wrong; fellow's a genius and this is what Finder needs. It's just a little on the "potential crash" side of hacking for my taste.

If you want a file manager with drag and drop tabs, try Path Finder or ForkLift.

Thanks for the link to my original article on TotalFinder. For anyone looking to add tabs to the Finder, this little gem is worth the download!
