Thanks. This has become a regular task every time a new major version of iTunes is released.

However, there are still useless arrows on the playlists - any idea how to turn these off?

This command will make the iTunes Store arrows turn to your iTunes Library instead, this should be the default setting IMO:

defaults write com.apple.iTunes invertStoreLinks -bool YES

It'd be nice if those arrows could redirect you to your library instead of the iTunes Store. That way if I'm listening to something in iTunes DJ, and I wanna be taken to that album or see what else I have from that artist in my collection, the arrow could take me there.

If you don't use the iTunes store you could always just disable it completely in preferences, Parental. This obviously also disables the arrows.

Linking to the store wasn't helpful to me either, but you can also change the arrow to link to your own library, and I have found that helpful. One way to do it can be found at http://secrets.blacktree.com/.
