UPDATE: Finally got an explanation. The shipment was NOT on hold nor held by customs but was bumped by Fed Ex due to overload. It will be delivered tomorrow. Also, it appears that Fed Ex is not so good anymore on providing updates to online tracking. No explanation was provided for the strange excuses given by Fed Ex in the morning. Apple customer service is super and connected me directly to Fed Ex in Anchorage on my later call.

I received a ship notice from Apple earlier this week that my Apple TV has shipped with delivery by 4:30 PM on September 30. When tracking did not show "out for delivery" today I contacted Fed Ex and was told that there were instructions on the outside of the bulk shipment container saying DO NOT DELIVER BEFORE OCT 5. This shipment has been in Anchorage for two days yet Fed Ex tracking still acknowledges ON TIME for the Sept 30 delivery. I contacted Apple customer service and they knew of no hold. What is going on? The Apple shipment still rests with Fed Ex in Alaska, Fed Ex confirms. What gives?????
