I have a problem, my mac downloads things from the internet by itself (iframe3.exe,logins.exe, clixsense etc.). I have iantivirus and macscan but it can detect any virus, malware, adware or spyware in my system. My mac is really slow now. Any advise or info is greatly appreciated.

Hey thanks for the tip.

I don't get people complaining about this, it is a commercial product that is given to you for free just for yesterday. Can't find anything wrong with that.

Also, this is a bit like insurance, it will be there if you need it. I don't see it installing daemons or menubar items that run continuously and slow your computer.

Thanks MacScan.

Don't work, it stays in demo version.

MacScan TOBW works.
But The One Bit Wonder is a very know cracker, owner of the site http://www.macserialjunkie.com/

So your link leads to a pirate version of MacScan.
I don't think that it is very legal to do this………

By the time this got into the feed, it was too late. So how can we uninstall this software properly? Where does it install files (apart from the /Application folder)?

Rob - If you purchased it after opening MacScan, then it automatically registers for you. If you check under ABOUT MACSCAN, your serial will already be there.

Prefer to pay attention to all the sites you visit, what software you install, and where you downloaded from, and pay attention to what and how it is stored on your computer....

Seems like it would be a good free program for scanning my school usb drive. Sometimes some of the school's Windows computers are infected with a virus and transfer them onto the usb drive. Although it won't harm OS X, its still nice to be able to remove the infection so I can continue to use the usb drive with other Windows computers.
