Use your Mac and Photo Booth as a Mirror

Do you need a mirror but you’re nowhere near one? Hey no problem, bust out your Mac and open up Photo Booth, use the computers camera!

Yes, the Photo Booth app! It’s found in the /Applications/ folder, just launch the app, and boom, the Camera turns on and you can see yourself.

You can even take this a step further and zoom into the live image of yourself by holding down the Control key and then using the trackpad or scroll wheel to zoom in and out of the image.

I know this might sound kind of silly, but I’ve seen a few people do this before. I’ve watched women use it to apply makeup and I just recently watched a girl at a coffee shop using it to do her hair, and I’ve seen a guy use the camera to correct the placement of a contact lens or get something out of his eye, so hey, why not make a post about it? I’ve also seen plenty of variations of this involving the iPhone too but that’s a little less surprising.

If you want some more Photo Booth tips, you can disable the flash and countdown and set Photo Booth to flip images.

Aren’t I cute? OK just kidding, the above picture is not me, it’s just a random Photo Booth self-portrait from Flickr.

So uh, any more ‘random photos’ eh?

LOL in all seriousness, I have seen many women do this too.
