I am a huge Mac geek, so I hope I am wrong. But from this video, Lion looks like the first complete "flop" from Apple in a long time. I think I'll be sticking with Snow Leopard as long as possible.

Those of you beta testing it probably have a better idea... Lion or Snow Leopard?

Looks nice to use on a laptop but on a desktop not so much, shure you have the trackpad now but I like to use a normal mouse instead. Also I am not going to switch between the two everytime. If they made a normal wired keyboard and then instead of the number pad you would have a trackpad, that would be great.

Some things are interesting, but overall I think a lot of the UI changes are fluff. Hope there are bigger changes under the hood.

Some things I noticed is the ability to four finger swipe between spaces, though you lose the ability to swipe up to get to your dektop. Also you can change each individual space's desktop background. You can easily go back and forth in safari with two finger swipes, I quit liked that a lot. Don't expect much use from launchpad, it always crashed if I didn't make a folder the right way, and if you get rid of you app the icon would still show up with a question mark. Lastly I saw a major improvement with bootups, I dunno if anyone else has noticed that with an SSD on Lion yet.

Anyway it's pretty stable for what it is, just don't expect something half finished to be awesome. There's just some niceties here and there :)

Remember that features will evolve and be refined as the public release nears, I wouldn't be surprised if a fair amount of this is changed come summer. I'm still wishing for that legendary marble UI option too.
