It's a tethered boot, you have to boot it with redsn0w every time the phone goes on and off. That is what TETHERED means.

WHO CAN HELP ME?

I lost my iPhone 4 password (I was drunk & messed up the OS, also into Japanese display).

it had iOS 4.3 firmware.

I tried to jailbreak it a few times (I had no idea how to do that from the start) & something was "going" on my iPhone while jailbreaking it, but the Japanese screen was appearing with a password input each time after rebooting it.

Finally i installed iTunes on my pc, and realized that their system begun RESTORING my iPhone system for a second.

i thought it was fine from the beginning when realized it was also updating to the latest ver. 5.0.1.

I panicked coz I’ve heard it may be a problem to jailbreak it in their newest system, so I unplugged my iPhone.

NOW, my iPhone shows only a picture with a USB plug & iTunes "music note" logo (nothing moves ahead in any direction.

NO JAILBRAKE WANTS TO BEGIN ANY PROCESS & while informing me that i had ENDED UP IN A RECOVERY MODE INSTEA OF DFU MODE (i remember i tried to get into that mode while had read some rough info about that in the internet & believed that was the way to FIX that iphone.

well, I’ve just succeeded to jailbreak it at this very moment with a new redsn0w_win_0.9.9b1.zip, and it installed me cydia iOS 4.3_8F190 firmware, i think, but same story repeats... logo, no booting up into iOS, etc.

What can i do?

How can I install the right system & get rid of that password protection screen?
(I don't remember that bloody password that i made in some bloody Japanese fonts system).

Would buying a jailbreaking SIM TRAY help???

JailbreakMe will no longer work and Redsn0w will only result in a tethered jailbreak (meaning it has to be connected to your computer each time it reboots).

I know how to fix your problem. But youn must jailbreak you apple device. This happened to ne multiple times. But, when my iPod touch 4.G 4.3.3 wouldn't turn on j had to plug it into the computer and use the current jailbreak software I used to jailbreak my apple device to get it back up an running. Find some jailbreak companies to use to download the jailbreak on your apple device. When doing so, your apple device should boot back up. Then restore your device FIRST, then upgrade and update your apple product. Hope this helps an works! :)!
Jailbreak software: Redsn0w, Greenp0ison, limera1n.
And try to make sure the the software is UNTRTHERED!
