iTunes 10.4 Available to Download, Brings Full 64-Bit and OS X Lion Support

iTunes 10.4 is 64-bit Alongside the release of Mac OS X Lion, Apple has pushed out iTunes 10.4. The changes are geared mostly towards Lion compatibility, with 64-bit architecture and Full-Screen app support.

What’s new in iTunes 10.4

iTunes 10.4 is now designed for OS X Lion.

You can now use iTunes with OS X Lion’s new Full-Screen App capability, which allows you to use iTunes and other apps without distractions. Navigate between your full-screen apps with a simple gesture.

Note: iTunes is now a 64-bit Cocoa application on OS X Lion and includes a number of important stability and performance improvements. Some iTunes plug-ins may no longer be compatible with this version of iTunes. Please contact the plug-in developer for an updated plug-in compatible with iTunes 10.4.

It looks like this release is Mac OS X only.

    iWow stopped to work with the 10.4
    And I am not sure that it is very stable: I had several crashes under 10.6.8……

    In activity monitor tells me intel and not intel(64bit)

    Ak! This version breaks my Bongiovi plugin. I hope they have an update soon.

    I would not update to 10.4 yet until I knew if my jailbroken iphone and ipad would work with it .I am assuming it will as long as you don’ t update the firmware to 4.3.4 and leave it at 4.3.3 for an untethered jailbreak.

    Full Screen is good touch with a sideways swipe, puts it into it’s own Space

    Anyone who is JB wanna take a chance on installing iTunes before any official word from Dev Team etc… not chancing losing JB until IOS5 is out.
