iOS 4.3.5

iOS 4.3.5 has been released by Apple, the update includes a fix for a security vulnerability pertaining to certificate validations and is recommended for all iOS users – unless of course you rely on a jailbreak. iOS 4.3.5 is build 8L1 and supports iPhone 4 GSM, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPad 2, iPod touch 3rd and 4th gen, a separate 4.2.10 release is available for iPhone 4 CDMA users.

You can get the latest iOS 4.3.5 update directly from software update within iTunes, or by downloading the firmware directly from Apple at the links below.

These are directly from Apple’s servers. Be sure to right-click and “Save as”, preserving the .ipsw file extension:

You can read about using IPSW files if you are confused, but most users will be best served by updating through iTunes.

This is the second security related fix for iOS released in the past month. Earlier, iOS 4.3.4 patched a potential exploit with PDF’s that was uncovered by the popular JailbreakMe utility.

True Mark ! Apple better call it a day.

Couple of months back my iPhone 3S died suddenly. Got a new 4 which died after a month. Ain’t that excellent.

Now we hear about the best iOS. That is if you can get it installed. iTunes will not make it. So got around it by downloading it and put in its proper folder. What happens is ingenious ! It will generate an error after backing up, removing the OS and during installation … which practically means leaving you without an iPad.

No wonder Steve Jobs left this world ….. to rest in peace at iCloud and avoid using any more Apple iCrap! Probably he’s praying for the poor fools like me buying these not-so-cheap gadgets.
