Hello everybody, I have some questions. I have iphone 4s soft version is 5.1.1. It is lock to AT&T. I tryed to ask at&t to unlock it, but they were unable to do it , because phone is jailbreaked.
So what can i do now?
Can I make backup, then update ios to 6.0 v. (then jailbreake will disappear) and ask at&t will they able to unlock my phone. And finally restore my iphone from 6.0 to 5.1.1? becaus i dont want 6.0 version.
Is this way possible?

Guys, I just called the AT&T customer service center and was told they no longer handle these request over the phone. I was directed to the a web site specifically established for this purpose:
http://www.att.com/deviceunlock
It requires the details of the purchase etc, including the last 4 digits of the purchaser’s SSN.
Will try and send them an email about my position, I am from the Caribbean and the phone was given to me as a gift.

I was wondering how these people on ebay get so many phones to unlock. I purchased a phone from ebay, contacted AT&T and they said I must fax them the original receipt. I tried 3 more times and even the international number and got the same response every time. I tried to do it over the web and again I must fax receipt. How are these people doing it? AT&T said they would not take my ebay receipt. I tried to email AT&T but you must have an AT&T account. I tried to register but again you must have an AT&T account. Any help folks?

I called AT&T and they require a faxed receipt sent to them. What to do since I bought phone off e-bay and do not have an AT&T receipt or Apple store receipt. I also tried going through website and it also requires the receipt. How can I get around this?

hy,
i did the request and got an e-mail with my request number and that i need to send a fax with a copy of the receipt and IMEI.
if i don’t hace a fax, how could i do it in diffrenet way? like e-mail or something?

Did you get your phone unlocked. I have same case as yours. Just want to verify before I go for official unlock. I also dont mind loosing jailbreak.
