iWeb runs in OS X Mountain Lion but it's no longer officially supported. Make a backup of your site, and everything else, before upgrading to 10.8.

I have a little website that I designed with iweb on my mid 2007 macbook pro running Lion 10.7.4... I'm not so good with html and still use iweb to make some changes to my site. Developers... is iweb still available in the upcoming OS X 10.8? Or will it delete the version I have now when I upgrade? Just curious.

Thomas, you could always try running it as a virtual machine in parallels/fusion until you're satisfied with the build. I usually do that to play around with it before I decide to do a full install.

Cheers

Some of the improvements they're making seem to be under the hood security enhancements that protect against malware.

one option for a clean install is do the upgrade then alt boot to the recovery partition.

From there enter Disk utility, erase the partition 'Macintosh HD' (or whatever your partition is labelled as.

Install on your fresh clear partition... Boom! you now have a clean install and you didn't pay for the overly priced USB installer!!!

Note: Please make a backup... it goes without saying but once its gone its gone.

Note 2: if you dont have the recovery partition e.g. fresh drive. So long as you have purchased mountain lion/lion through the app store and have internet connectivity boot cmd + r on startup and you enter internet recovery giving you all the same options as recovery partition

Yes just as before if you download and install on a thumb drive you can do a clean install, just as you can with Lion.

Will there be a simple method to perform a clean install? Upgrading from the Store is fine, however I would prefer to wipe it then install in some manner.

Last year I bought the usb stick for this purpose.

I plan to wait for at least 10.8.2 to allow them to clean up some of the more obvious bugs that will inevitably show up in general release. I've followed this precaution ever since I bought my first Mac. Never try a .0 unless you have a completely spare computer to try it on.

I am looking forward to Mountain Lion but I can't really cite a single feature that I am excited for. It's almost as boring as iOS 6.
