You may have logged on at a really busy time or you computer is busy with other tasks. Restart you computer and try again. My mac doesn't need a restart a tenth of what my microsoft did, but it still helps from time to time. Melissa

Before you try to update, do you have a PowerPC Mac? If you do, sorry, Apple has dropped support for it. It's the very end of the PowerPC line, even Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) had ended too. If you don't, please upgrade to Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.x) or newer (Mac OS X 10.7+) to use iTunes 10.7. Upgrading to Snow Leopard shouldn't take too long. So I recommend an Intel Mac with Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion. Hi Steven.
