@stopsusa I've noticed this problem too, where all image uploads from Safari/iOS are called image.jpg.

Did you find a fix for this issue yet?

it appears now that all $filename variables are renamed to image.jpg when running a php script utilizing $filename = $_FILES['pic']['name'] on the ipad. Results in duplicate image files in my database after first image.jpg is saved to mysql

Very, very, very usefull. In my opinion being able to upload files is very important and should already have been available in the first version of iOS. I always thought it was ridiculous not being able to upload photo's to a website from iOS and it's also ridiculous iOS 6 only supports pictures. In my opinion when Pages, Numbers, Keynote or other apps are installed which allow you to create files, these should be added to the "browse button" which you find on websites.

So, you click the browse button and instead of only the two options of the above screenshot, you also get options to upload a file from Pages, Numbers, Keynote, etc.
