Check youtube on how to replace it. It’s simple. I run FCPX on my 27″ and have had 32g of ram stuffed in it for over a year!

“Both of the 21.5 and 27-inch iMacs use SO-DIMMs, however the 27-inch model does allow for end user upgrades. Remove the power cable and there’s a button that will pop out a little panel giving you access to the system’s SO-DIMM slots. The 21.5-inch model needs to be taken apart to gain access to the memory slots unfortunately.”

Memory

The 21.5-inch iMac comes with 8GB of memory and can be configured online with 16GB. On the 27-inch iMac, 8GB of memory comes standard, and you can upgrade to 16GB or 32GB. Configure and buy your iMac at the Apple Online Store and it will arrive with the memory already installed. Or add more memory to the 27-inch model yourself by popping open the easy-to-access memory panel on the back.

I was wondering if the iMac’s bluetooth 4.0 would help in any way make the wireless keyboard and mouse/magic trackpad battery life much longer… Would it?

Lovely, Sexy iMac I am buying the 21.5″ with fusion, I watched the keynote note and i was shocked how nice it looks.BTW the Ram looks like it non-upgrade after you buy it

Can you upgrade the RAM on the new iMac without taking it to an Apple technician as in previous iMac’s? The RAM does not look easily accessible on the newest iMac.

2 things the new Imac will NOT have
(that SHOULD)

1) 5.1 sound card
2) 2nd HD upgrade to SSD (a simple DIY job)

Looks so good but I wish it was retina. If I didn’t buy a new MacBook Air just a few months ago I may have got one of these instead!
