Yea, I am not seeing anything that indicates that this is for “audio production”. Where’s the monitors (not the ones you look at)? Or even some decent computer speakers, and the rig on top of the desk, with as others have mentioned, the fans right there, and in a corner, that would play havoc with sound bouncing.

If this is for audio production where are the speakers? This looks nice for office but terrible for serious audio productions (all the fans, empty walls that reflect the sounds, no sweet spot,…)

As you can see there are some “big ass fans” in the side of the case, allowing for a slow rotation and good airflow. Probably the owner didn’t go cheap on the other internal fans either, and that way you’ll end up with a very silent setup.

Having said that, I also would place the desktop case in a “hidden” place, whe there is a good airflow off course.

lol..if u producing audio seriously u need the speakers parallel to your ears(the a reason for that matter) and the those headphones not the great ones wont be able give proper sound frequencies.

It looks like a set of headphones are on top of the case, and maybe speakers are under the desk where the tower usually resides.

Wow that is amazing. I can’t believe Apple is abandoning the pro market and Mac Pro and forcing pro’s to build their own unofficial Macs (for 1/3 the price…). Then again it makes people put together great stuff like this, and tinkering is one of the most fun things we geeks do.

Great setup but is it really for audio production. If you’re doing serious adio work you wouldn’t want to have the CPU case and all of the fan noise just a foot or two away from your ear. Unless of course he just put it on his desk for the picture…
