		<description>I have had a Sony camcorder for almost two years that can take full resolution (up to 12mp) pictures while taking video. It even has a &quot;face recognition&quot; mode where, if the faces in the image change, it will automatically take a full resolution still. The video is not stopped at all.

I find this incredibly useful.  

Nice if Apple can catch up to this (unless it violates some patent).</description>

So, the picture taking feature while recording is not possible.

Maybe you have some additonal Apps to do such effect., in native apps of IOS.</description>
