Apple has released a hoard of new Apple Watch commercials, with eight different ads running to demonstrate various features of the device. Additionally, Apple has released a couple of new Apple TV ads as well.

The Apple Watch advertisements feature a variety of actors and celebrities using the watch in different situations, many with a focus on the fitness tracking abilities of the watch, which allow the device to monitor heart rate and function as a pedometer, amongst a variety of other activity tracking abilities offered through third party apps. Other Apple Watch commercials emphasize the devices built-in features for tracking down a lost iPhone and using third party apps to control lights or notify the wearer when it will rain.

The Apple TV commercials also feature celebrities and focus on the devices abilities to play content by voice commands through the Siri Remote, as well as interact with video and movie on screen through various commands.

All of the commercials are embedded below for viewing, and you’ll likely see them airing on television soon if you haven’t already.

Apple also released a commercial for Apple TV featuring basketball player Kobe Bryant, called Father Time:

Most of these spots fit into similar themes established in prior other Apple commercials, though my personal favorite of the newer batch remains the Siri Cookie Monster iPhone ad.

  1. Uh yeah says:

It still sucks. Come on Apple, update this thing.

It really needed to be followed up by a 2nd gen by now. Put the battery in the strap, make it thinner, 2x as powerful and give it a long battery life already.

Your first version was a neat toy.. but nobody is going to buy it.

    • Wrong Ron says:

Many people have bought it. You see them frequently on the streets. It’s a good fitness tracker with notifications. They should improve on the fitness function and lower the price, and it will be even more popular.

But it sounds like you have the Apple playbook down, make it thinner. If only the people in the country would make themselves thinner!

  2. The Porkery says:

The Apple Watch is best as a fitness tracker, but it needs to price more competitively. I know that some companies are buying them for workers or subsidizing the cost, hoping to lower their health care expense by getting people off the fast food couch.

The new 1% of America are those who are in good physical shape, it’s so rare these days to exercise regularly and not eat like a cow gaining for slaughter.

  3. Mr O says:

How about the shape up the battery on the watch.
    useless with that batterytime
