Second macOS Sierra GM Seed Available for Testers

MacOS Sierra on a Mac

Apple has released a new GM candidate seed of macOS Sierra to Mac users running the beta version of system software.

The new macOS Sierra GM build is versioned as 16A323 and can be downloaded now from the Mac App Store. Presumably the small revision includes bug fixes to be included before the widespread release.

Currently the updated GM build is only available to Mac users in the Developer testing program, but traditionally Public Beta testing users get the same software updates soon after. Presumably that will apply here as well.

Major new features in macOS Sierra include the inclusion of Siri, enhanced iCloud integration, the ability to unlock a Mac with an Apple Watch, improved compatibility with iOS 10 devices, along with many other small feature improvements to the Mac operating system.

MacOS Sierra 10.12 is set to be available to everyone on the wide release day next week on September 20. Most Macs that were built after late 2009 will support Sierra, but you can check the macOS Sierra compatible Macs list here if you are uncertain if your Macintosh can use the upcoming system software release.

I have installed 5 days ago the GM version macOS 10.12 (16A323) but want to install the original new mac os sierra version but don’t know how.
    Anyone have the same issue?

When will public testers get this one too?
I am not developing apps for iOS/Mac, so I did not (yet) pay the $99/year Apple wants.
When is the next Public Beta coming? It has now been 5 days since Developer GM2 release.
OR will now Final/Release version come, please?

  3. Evgen says:

Has someone tried it on older (like Macbook Pro late 2008) machine?

    @Kelley – yes.
Login to your Apple Beta account via your web browser.
Now you will see a Get the macOS Sierra GM candidate button.
Click that, scroll down, and you will see your own personal unique redeem code for GM Release Candidate.

Backup if necessary, then in App Store, please redeem that code, and then you can download the GM RC version and get out of Beta.

Please tell me if that works, or not.

I’ve been on the public beta for two months now. I’m stuck on version 10.12 Beta (16A313a). Any idea how in hell I can tell iTunes to update me to the latest build?

totally uninteresting update. no mention of better drivers for grahics, code, nothing. i couldnt care less of unlocking with apple watch and such bull. the only thing they do hint is instead of more efficient this os will be more of a cpu hoag. great “development”..
