MacOS Beta and iOS Beta

Apple has released the fourth beta versions of their various system software releases, including macOS Sierra 10.12.2 beta 4, iOS 10.2 beta 4, and watchOS 3.1.1 beta 4.

The new beta updates continue to improve on prior beta releases, focusing on bug fixes and minor feature enhancements to the various Apple system software versions.

No major new features are expected in the iOS, MacOS, and WatchOS releases, though there will be new Emoji icons available across the board. iOS also will get some more obvious Shuffle and Repeat buttons in the continuously redesigning Music app.

Users who are enrolled in the eligible beta testing programs can find the latest versions of MacOS 10.12.2 beta 4 and iOS 10.2 beta 4 from the appropriate software update mechanisms through the App Store or Settings app, respectively.

Apple typically goes through multiple beta versions of system software before releasing a final version, perhaps suggesting that iOS 10.2 and MacOS 10.12.2 final versions could be made available by the end of the year.

Thank you Roger. I could not have said it better myself. some people just like to complain no matter what

  2. One has to wonder why the detractors use Apple products at all when on every change they inevitably scoff or scorn.

It really is a bore to read the same old attitudes rolled out again and again across the computer user media.

There are many alternatives for you all out there. If you don’t like the way Apple operates or the nature of its OS then go buy yourself one of the competition’s products that run Windows 10 or whatever. I can assure you that then you’ll really have something that can keep you nit-picking to your heart’s content, week in and week out.

The update doesn’t appear in OTA in several markets, especially in Europe.

Could be that Apple doesn’t want to overload its servers, or that the update wasn’t somehow quite ready for consumption yet…

New emojis! Whoopee! That’s earth-shattering news. It’s a shame they didn’t have time to get around to bugs in less important software, like Finder.
