The first commercial is called “Soul Mate” and shows off portrait mode with a dog. The narration of the ad states:

“When you shoot in Portrait mode, your subject stands out from the background. That’s the difference between a photo of your dog, and a photo of your best friend. Housemate and your soul mate. Portrait mode, on iPhone 7 Plus.”

Kid / Creek – iPhone 7 Plus Portrait Mode Ad

The second commercial is titled “Creek” and shows off portrait mode with a kid mostly submerged in a creek. The text of the advertisement states:

“When you shoot in Portrait mode, your subject stands out from the background. So a photo of your kid in a creek, becomes a portrait of youth in nature. Fine, fine art.. Portrait mode, on iPhone 7 Plus.”

Additionally, a new Apple Watch commercial is airing which focuses on the devices fitness tracking capabilities and closing the “rings” on the Watch to show that you have reached your fitness goals for the day. Galaxy s7 /7 edge.
The best camera on the market.

The cameras are HD quality in new iPhones.

Why is it that idiots hold their phone in portrait mode when using for non phone talking functions is beyond me. Screen is much smaller, as is the keyboard vs landscape, the natural position of a computer/tv monitor.

I have and always will take pix and videos in landscape mode.

Sorry, typo. I am not allowed to have a camera in the lab.

Seriously, who buys a phone for the camera? Sure it is handy, but not important.

I have one phone that has the camera removed. I am not allowed to have it in the lab.

Well, we certainly aren’t buying them for the quality of phone calls, because in 20+ years of using a cell phone, this hasn’t changed much. At least the camera could be decent. :)
