macOS and iOS beta testing

Apple has released the second beta versions of iOS 12.2 and macOS Mojave 10.14.4 for users enrolled in the respective beta testing programs.

The latest beta system software releases likely continue to focus on bug fixes and security enhancements for both iOS and macOS.

iOS 12.2 beta includes some minor adjustments and feature enhancements, including News app support for Canada. iOS 12.2 beta 2 also includes a handful of new Animoji, including a shark, owl, boar, and giraffe.

MacOS Mojave 10.14.4 beta includes some new capabilities to Safari, along with News app support for Canadians too.

For iPhone and iPad users who are enrolled in the beta testing programs, the latest iOS 12.2 beta 2 release can be found available to download now from the Settings app “Software Update” mechanism.

For Mac users participating in the beta testing program, macOS 10.14.4 beta 4 is available from the Software Update preference panel.

Apple usually goes through a variety of beta system software updates before releasing a final version to the general public, thus it can be assumed that final stable builds of iOS 12.2 and macOS 10.14.4 are still a ways out, perhaps due for a release sometime in March. Perhaps unrelated, there are various rumors of updated iPad hardware debuting sometime in March. Of course this is all merely speculation, as only Apple knows the release schedule of upcoming software and hardware.

The most recent final stable builds of system software are currently MacOS Mojave 10.14.3 for Mac and iOS 12.1.3 for iPhone and iPad.

New releases are only all about new animoji and emojis. I don’t see any real helpful improvements (at least for me).

I am having issues with transferring money to and from Apple Pay. I called developer support & they said it’s an issue with the latest build.
