There’s an irony in the fact this site deals with iPhone usage and my iPhone clearly warns this site is Not Secure in the address bar before it even gets to osxdaily….

    • Paul says:

Kat, this is an article about iOS 13 being available as a software update for iPhone users.

Anyway I am not sure of the irony but perhaps you are do not understand what you are seeing. The ‘not secure’ Safari message is because the site is HTTP rather than HTTPS. HTTP was the standard web protocol since the beginning of the web, HTTPS is rather new. You can read more about the ‘not secure’ message in Safari here: https://osxdaily.com/2019/03/29/safari-not-secure-website-ios-mac/ Basically unless it’s on somewhere that you’re logging into or buying something, it doesn’t matter, it’s security theater.

  24. John says:

I recommend it. It’s great so far. I updated my XS Max at work yesterday in 40 minutes and started the watch update but knew it wouldn’t finish since it wasn’t on the charger. When I got home put the watch on it’s charger and it updated itself without me having to do anything at all. The update process has become so much better the last couple years.

  25. fahmy says:

Hi i would like your help cause i cant seems to restore my iphone xr ios 13.1 beta 3 to ios 13 official released. May i know what do i need to do?

    • Opinion says:

Wait until the official iOS 13.1 release is out next week, then update to that. Once you’re on the final iOS 13.1 version, remove the beta profile to stop getting beta updates.

  26. Inwdc says:

What are your thoughts on this latest version? Would you recommend staying on 12 or is 13 worth upgrading to?

    • Opinion says:

I would wait until iOS 13.1 which is due about a week later, and even that I think is very buggy. iOS 13.2 might have things together a bit more.

This is the buggiest iOS software release in a while, iOS 13 feels rushed like they had to meet a deadline and shipped something half-cooked but what do I know *shrug*.

  27. Le Sigh says:

Apple user guide for iOS 13 might be helpful since much is changing and the interface is confusing for many of us

    https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/welcome/ios

If the interface was easier to use it probably wouldn’t be necessary…
