iOS 13 Beta and iPadOS Beta

Apple has released the first beta versions of iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2 for users enrolled in the beta testing programs for iPhone and iPad system software.

iOS 13.2 beta and iPadOS 13.2 beta presumably focus on bug fixes, enhancements, and other improvements to the operating systems, though a few new features are also being beta tested. Perhaps the most notable inclusion in iOS 13.2 is support for a camera feature called “Deep Fusion” which will apparently improve the detail on images taken on iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro models.

The new beta is available to download now for both public beta and developer beta users. If you’re actively enrolled in the developer beta programs or the iOS 13 public beta or iPadOS 13 public beta, then you’ll find the download available now from the Software Update section of the “Settings” app.

Note that if you’re on a final build of iOS or ipadOS and find the beta update available, but no longer want to run beta system software, you can remove the beta profile from the iPhone or iPad device to stop getting beta system software updates.

Similarly, if you’re currently running a beta version of iOS or iPadOS and want to install a final stable version, you can do that too with these instructions. Be aware that if you install the iPadOS / iOS 13.2 beta you will have to wait until the final version of iPadOS / iOS 13.2 to leave the beta program, or downgrade.

Apple usually goes through several beta updates before issuing a final version, so it could be reasonable expect iOS 13.2 and ipadOS 13.2 to be released later in the fall.

Separately, Apple also released beta updates to tvOS, watchOS, and a new Safari Tech Preview release for Mac users.
