New iPad TV Commercial: “This Good”

Alongside the new iPad, Apple has started to air a new TV commercial for the device. The ad focuses on the iPads new Retina display, which by all accounts is simply gorgeous in person. Text of the commercial is as follows:

“When a screen becomes this good, colors are more vibrant, words are pin sharp, everything is more brilliant. Because when a screen becomes this good, it’s simply you and the things you care about. The stunning retina display, on the new iPad.”

The resolution of the new iPads display is 2048×1536, twice that of it’s predecessor. The screen is also said to have better color reproduction and improved saturation.

You can pre-order the new iPad right now, the release date is set for March 16.

New iPad 2 TV Commercial: Love

Apple started airing a new iPad 2 commercial titled “Love” last night, it follows the same theme set by past iPad 2 ads closely, and shows a variety of people using the device in different ways. Here’s the text:

For some, it’s a lifelong passion. For others, it’s something discovered yesterday. We all have things that speak to us. They drive us to get up early, and stay up late. Getting lost in the things we love, has never felt quite like this.

It’s another great iPad 2 ad, especially the ending shot of a kid using an iPad inside a homemade fort surrounded by plenty of dinosaurs. The full video is embedded below.

New iPad 2 Commercial: “Learn”

Apple has started airing a new iPad 2 commercial focused on learning and education, titled “Learn”, which is appropriate given the fall back-to-school season. The text of the ad is:

Are you curious about new ideas? Do you want to learn a new language? Or just a new word? Maybe you want to know more about anatomy? Or astronomy? You could master something new. Or uncover a hidden talent. There’s never been a better time, to learn.

As usual, the commercial focuses on the user and what you can do with an iPad, which has proven to be a successful advertising format for Apple time and time again.

New iPad 2 Commercial: We’ll Always

Apple has released a new iPad 2 commercial that follows closely in the same theme set by prior iPad 2 ads. The ad emphasizes the user and how they fit into the rapidly changing post-PC world that Apple has pioneered:

“We’ll never stop sharing our memories, or getting lost in a good book… We’ll always cook dinner and cheer for our favorite team… We’ll still go to meetings, make home movies, and learn new things… But how we do all this will never be the same.”

New Apple commercials seem to favor starting their airtime on Sunday nights and this one is no different. Be sure to note the minor reference to OS X Lion, courtesy of the Alphabet Fun app:

New iPad 2 Commercial: Now

Apple has started to air a new iPad 2 commercial on TV, it’s titled “Now” and follows a similar theme to the other two recent iPad 2 TV ads.

“Now we can watch a newspaper, listen to a magazine, curl up with a movie, see a phone call, now we can take a classroom anywhere, hold an entire bookstore, and touch the stars. Because now, there’s this.”  iPad 2

In classic Apple style, it shows people what they can actually do on an iPad, and manages to convey quite a bit in just 30 seconds. All in all, it’s an enjoyable commercial, and if you watch TV you’ll probably see airing soon if you haven’t already.

iPad 2 “If You Asked” Commercial

Apple has released a new iPad 2 commercial titled “If You Asked” and it follows well in the footsteps of the “We Believe” TV ad that first launched with the device. The audio of the commercial says:

If you ask a parent, they might call it intuitive… if you ask a musician, they might call it inspiring… to a doctor, it’s groundbreaking… to a CEO, it’s powerful… to a teacher, it’s the future… if you ask a child, she might call it magic… and if you asked us, we’d say it’s just getting started…”

Now, if you asked me, I’d say the iPad 2 is still nearly impossible to find in stock at a store, so buy it online and wait a week or two instead for delivery.

Anyway, I like these new commercials, they feel a bit more sentimental than some of the past Apple ads and I think that’s a good thing. Apparently it started airing tonight, so keep an eye out for it if you’re watching TV.

iPad 2 Commercial: We Believe

Apple has started to air the first iPad 2 commercial, it’s a bit different than their past TV ads but it’s still undeniably Apple. The commercial declares “This is what we believe; technology alone is not enough” it then goes on to describe the iPad 2 a bit, but it’s real message is that while the iPad 2 is amazing, it’s the people using it that make it so special.

The commercial kind of reminds me of the recap video that was played at the iPad 2 launch event, which was much less about the iPad and more about how people are using the device and how it has changed their lives. It’s a good message and I like the videos, certainly more than the recent iPhone 4 commercials.

Apple certainly hasn’t needed to advertise the iPad 2, it still sells out at every new shipment and finding one is a challenge. If you’re still looking (hey me too!) you have to check iPad 2 stock in your region by calling resellers. They all seem to sell out soon after getting a shipment, so moving fast is essential.

iPad is Iconic commercial

The latest iPad commercial starts off with the turntable DJay app scratching the now widely known iPad commercial song “Never Stop” by Chilly Gonzales, followed by more apps and words: fresh, tickets, news, stories, 60,000+ apps, students, teachers, hollywood, iconic. Finally, the commercial ends with Marilyn Monroe on Vanity Fair magazine as seen on the iPad.

This fits nicely into the line-up of other iPad commercials, and it’s unmistakably Apple.

iPad is Amazing TV Commercial: Same Song, New Features

Apple has released a new TV commercial for the iPad, this one is titled “iPad is Amazing” and it show off some of the flashier features of iOS 4.2, including AirPrint wireless printing, multi-tasking, and AirPlay.

If you have seen the others, you’ll notice the catchy piano song in the iPad commercial has been the same Chilly Gonzales track across the series, leaving no doubt that you’re watching an iPad ad.

These are the descriptions of the iPad in the latest commercial:

“iPad is… printing… vital… ideas… multi-tasking… facts… figures… amazing”

I like all of the iPad commercials, but maybe I am biased.

Verizon iPad Commercial

Verizon is now airing an iPad commercial that features the device paired up with a Verizon MiFi mobile hotspot. The iPad offered through Verizon is not the 3G model, so you have to get a MiFi hotspot instead. Of course this has it’s advantages, considering you can hook up any other device to the MiFi hotspot as well. I don’t think the TV ad is quite as catchy as the Apple crafted iPad commercial with it’s funky song, but it’s a decent start.
