The Best Free iPhone Twitter App is Echofon (aka Twitterfon)

twitterfon twitter iphone app Looking for a free iPhone Twitter app that is awesome? Allow me to rave for a moment about Echofon (previously Twitterfon), it’s without a doubt the best free iPhone Twitter app I have found and it has become an integral part of my day. I know there are various paid solutions out there which are pretty cool too, but since Twitter is free, I’m looking for a free solution for the iPhone, and Echofon does exactly the job I need it to do and quite well. You can easily tweet out, follow your friends, and track @messages going back and forth, and so much more. If there is a better free iPhone Twitter app out there, I want to know about it!

I have both apps on my iPod touch and I think that the original twitter app is better, and I have had echofon since the first day I got my iPod. Sure, echofon’s prettier… But the original twitter had more things available! Like, your screen can flip on the original, while on the echofon it cannot. It’s also a lot simpler. Plus, with echofon, it doesn’t always load my profile correctly. While, on the original twitter, you can change your profile pic, bio, website, and more! I believe it is much better and easier to get used to. If you’re just now deciding the app between echofon for twitter and the original–Get the original. It’s much easier, faster, and uploads things without as much complication. You just have to get used to it. But, as soon as you do, you’ll see the huge different between echofon for twitter and the original.

    6. Built-in Photo capabilities to add photos directly to your tweets.
    7. Built-in Translation support using any of the state-of-the-art web translation engines you choose, such as Google Translate, Yahoo Babelfish, or Promt Translator.

Hi. I guess DistortedLoop is quite right. Why is Echofon the best? UI? Speed? Ads? .. If you’re talking about UI, Twitterrific is way, way better then Echofon. And it’s also free.

  7. DistortedLoop says:

It would be interesting to hear why you think it’s the best, other than that it’s just free. UI is best? Speed is best? What differentiates it from all the other freebies out there?
