Apple Will Live Stream the iPhone 6 & iWatch Event

Apple iPhone 6 event livestream and countdown

Apple has announced a live stream will be available for the planned September 9 event. The event and accompanying video stream will begin at 10AM Pacific Time on the morning of the 9th, and though it’s not specified, will likely last an hour or two.

Users who wish to watch the live stream on September 9 can visit this webpage on Apple.com to do so. Note that live video streams on Apple.com must viewed with Safari on a relatively recent version of OS X, iOS, or Apple TV, other web browsers are not supported. Apple has even provided a Calendar notification, which you can get by clicking here in the form of an ics file.

Though Apple is notoriously tightlipped about events, having a large countdown to the event is a fairly bold statement and does more to hype expectations rather than to manage them. That could be good reason, as rumors suggest Apple will announce the all new iPhone 6, a payments platform, and an iWatch wearable device on that day. Additionally, we’ll likely get specific release dates for iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite.

As usual, we’ll be covering the major product announcements on that day as well.

After being thoroughly disappointed with the Note 4, I’m hoping the new big screen iPhone 6 won’t have a later release date.

    Dear Sir/Maam,

I am preparing for the live event posted from your OSX daily website. Many of my web pages show “Flash Blocked for this website.” How can I test out that the live event will work???
