Apple has started running a new commercial in the “If it’s not an iPhone, it’s not an iPhone” advertising campaign, called ‘Photos & Videos’. As you may have guessed from the name, the new commercial emphasizes the devices impressive photographic abilities and it’s ease and popularity as a digital camera.

The new spot shares a bit in common with some of the other iPhone ads that focused on the devices camera, while still retaining the sort of playfully boastful “If it’s not an iPhone, it’s not an iPhone” feel.

The voiceover to the commercial is “Every day, millions of amazing photos and videos are shot with iPhone. That’s because the iPhone makes it easy for everyone to shoot amazing photos and video.”and is embedded below for easy viewing:

On the Apple YouTube channel, the commercials description is:

“Because iPhone makes it so easy to capture amazing images, more people take photos with it every day than any other camera.”

The TV spot should be airing now on major networks, alongside some of the other Apple commercials.

I wrote this huge paragraph and it got deleted, wtf! Anywho, iPhone rules and Samsung is a bunch of copiers look it up. Apple pushed them to greatness by making a superior product. iOS was out for a long time before Android (which was also stolen – thanks Eric Schmidt, Page, Brin, et al — Criminals!).

I get why people attack apple for their commercials. They explain nothing about the product. They shove a shiny trinket in your face and the idiots reach out for it instinctively. Have fun buying overpriced crap only to find out its exactly the same as the last model with a single new feature that samsung has already made obsolete.

I thunk what Wharf was implying was that all commercials have a tackiness that requires sober examination of purpose. Imagine Apple or any corporation with a product or service setting up a web page where people are paid to watch and/or read and listen to information about the product or service offered. Sure, this advertising firm got lucky to be paid a couple hundred thousand for this recent ad, but nothing was gained or lost as I wait for television show to begin or continue.

Realizing the banal mediocrity of certain moments of life, apparently brought on by an Apple commercial, seems to have tripped the wires of Wharf Xanadu. Best to turn off the television for a long time, and go find what the meaning to life is all about.

Does anyone really care what someone named “Wharf Xanadu”
    has to say about anything?

  7. Sandy says:

Apple always has been like that. You either love it or not. I love it! Great products.

  8. Wharf Xanadu says:

Very smarmy commercials. Do not like the attitude with them.
