macOS Sierra Dev Beta 8 & Public Beta 7 Released for Testing

MacOS Sierra Public Beta

Apple has released a new beta version of macOS Sierra for public beta and developer beta testers, versioned as Mac OS 10.12 developer beta 8 and Mac OS 10.12 public beta 7.


Mac users who are participating in the beta testing programs for Mac OS system software can find the latest macOS Sierra update in the Mac App Store Updates section.

The final version of MacOS Sierra is expected to debut sometime this fall, we’ll likely get a specific release date during the September 7 iPhone event.

macOS Sierra includes Siri for Mac, an updated Photos app, web support for Apple Pay, the ability to unlock a Mac with an Apple Watch, a cross iOS-to-Mac clipboard, and a variety of other features and enhancements to the Mac operating system.

The current most recent final version of Mac OS system software is OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.

    APFS and be used to format different media types, like USB keys etc. However, from the command line.
