iOS 15 and iPadOS 15

iOS 15.7.5 for iPhone and iPadOS 15.7.5 for iPad have been released for older iPhone and iPad models. The updates include important security updates, and are therefore recommended for eligible users to install on their devices.

These updates are separate from iOS 16.4.1 and iPadOS 16.4.1 updates that were recently released for the iPhone and iPad, but include the same security patches.

Similarly, Apple issued MacOS Monterey 12.6.5 and MacOS Big Sur 11.7.6 for users who are not running the freshly released MacOS Ventura 13.3.1.

How to Download & Install iOS 15.7.5 / iPadOS 15.7.5 Update

Always backup iPhone or iPad to iCloud, to Finder in MacOS, or iTunes on Windows before updating system software.

iOS 15.7.5 and iPadOS 15.7.5 are available for iPhone 6s (all models), iPhone 7 (all models), iPhone SE (1st generation), iPad Air 2, iPad mini (4th generation), and iPod touch (7th generation), if they are not already running iOS/iPadOS 16. If you’re already on 16.x, you will not see the updates available for your device.

  1. Open the “Settings” app on iPhone or iPad
  2. Go to “General”, then choose “Software Update”
  3. Choose to “Download & Install” for iOS 15.7.5 or iPadOS 15.7.5

As usual, the device must restart to complete installation.
