WatchOS 2.2 and tvOS 9.2 Updates Available to Download
Apple has released watchOS 2.2 for Apple Watch, and tvOS 9.2 for Apple TV. The new software updates include a variety of feature improvements and bug fixes and are recommended to users of Apple Watch and Apple TV to install on their respective hardware.
WatchOS 2.2
WatchOS 2.2 includes some minor new features and updates to Maps, but is mostly a bug fix and enhancement release.
Updating WatchOS to 2.2 is easily done through the paired iPhone and Watch app, by going to My Watch > General settings > Software Update.
As usual with watchOS updates, the update takes a while to install. You’ll want to be sure the Watch is charged, as is the associated iPhone.
tvOS 9.2
tvOS 9.2 for the new Apple TV includes a variety of new features, including Dictation support, support for Bluetooth keyboards, improvements to Siri search functionality, folders, and a few other changes.
Updating the new Apple TV to the latest version of tvOS versioned at 9.2 is done through the Settings app > System section.
Aside from the Watch and Apple TV, iOS 9.3 update is available to download and install, as is Mac OS X 10.11.4.
I wish they would make Apple Watch faster. It’s always waiting for iPhone.
Have you updated to watch OS 2? If you haven’t then you may want to. It was released last fall and enabled support for native apps (meaning they now run on the watch itself so it won’t have to wait for the iphone). Of course, for third party apps it requires that the developers upgrade the apps first and most haven’t done so (a few did, such as weather channel). But the built in apps now work fast and smooth. And they work even when the iphone is out of reach.
