How to Install MacOS Tahoe 26 Beta Right Now

Jun 17, 2025 - 1 Comment

How to install MacOS Tahoe 26 beta

MacOS Tahoe 26 features the all new Liquid Glass interface, brings the Phone app to the Mac, big Spotlight changes with actions, new Apple Intelligence features, a new Games app, backgrounds are added to Messages for the WhatsApp fans, Live Activities from iPhone, and much more. With so many new features combined with a significant visual overhaul, it’s no wonder many Mac users are curious about MacOS Tahoe, even if it’s in beta.

While beta versions of system software are really most appropriate for advanced users, and developer betas are intended for developers, that doesn’t mean you can’t install Tahoe right now. The big thing to remember is that beta system software is very buggy, less stable, and is under active development, so it’s likely that there will be issues and incompatibilities. But if you’re comfortable with that reality, you can install MacOS Tahoe 26 beta right now, and it’s quite easy to do so, as we’ll walk through here.

Beta 1 of iOS 18.6 & MacOS Sequoia 15.6 Released for Testing

Jun 16, 2025 - Leave a Comment

iOS 18 and MacOS Sequoia public betas

Apple has issued the first beta versions of iOS 18.6 for iPhone, iPadOS 18.6 for iPad, and MacOS Sequoia 15.6 for Mac. These beta versions of system software are now concurrent with the next-gen iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and MacOS Tahoe 26 betas, which are also on the first beta.

The new beta versions of system software are intended as point release updates to the current generations of system software, meaning they’ll likely focus on bug fixes and security enhancements, over major new features. It’s possible some minor new features or changes will be included in iOS 18.6 and MacOS Sequoia 15.6, but the majority of new feature efforts are being put towards the iOS 26 and MacOS Tahoe 26 betas instead.

Watch the Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement Speech in 1080P HD

Jun 14, 2025 - Leave a Comment

Steve Jobs Stanford speech in 2005

In a testament to how quickly time moves, 20 years ago Steve Jobs gave his famous Stanford commencement speech. If you haven’t heard it before, set aside the time to listen, it’s about 15 minutes long and arguably one of the best commencement speeches ever given, if not one of the best general speeches ever made. It’s a beautiful speech, humbling, personal, inspiring, blunt, funny, and very Steve Jobs.

Tim Cook tweeted a reminder of the occasion, noting that Steve’s “powerful advice still rings true”:

Tim Cook also provided a link to the Steve Jobs archive, where more information is provided surrounding the circumstances of the commencement speech, including a neat outline note that Steve Jobs had emailed to himself.

Fun little factoid: once upon a time, that entire Steve Jobs speech was hidden as an Easter Egg in MacOS, but that has since been removed for whatever reason.

For those without the ability to watch a video with audio, the full text of the speech is repeated below, courtesy of Stanford University:
