If you own the second generation AirPods or AirPods Pro, you’ll be able to summon Siri with just your voice. So, simply follow the steps below.

I now have iOS 13.6 and they have removed the option from the Notifications menu. How do I get Siri to read the messages aloud in iOS 13.6?
A very nice & thorough post. Thank you. There is one feature that could have security implications if my understanding is correct.
By “allowing Siri when the iPhone is locked”, it is possible for a thief to ask Siri who owns the phone or, maybe, what your number is or to gain info about you. I may be wrong, but it’s worth a moments thought.
Yes that is true, depending on your individual privacy and security needs you may have to adjust things around that. But on the other hand, being able to ask Siri “whose phone is this?” can help to find an iPhone owner (or you) if a device is lost.
We actually covered this as a tip a while ago, and if you ever find a random iPhone it can be one potential way to return it to its rightful owner.
