15 Ways to Customize your Mac Desktop

There are some Mac users out there who love to customize and change the appearance of every single thing on their desktop, from the shape of their windows, to fancy wallpapers, to custom icons. Personally, I keep it simple, aside from a custom wallpaper I unify the desktop appearance with UNO, which provides a clean and consistent interface to all of Mac OS X. One quick note about Uno. According to the dev, Uno is not compatible with the latest version of iTunes.

However my experience was that it broke with iTunes 7.1.1, causing an annoying problem that required an uninstall of Uno and a complete reinstall of iTunes. So, I’d hold off on Uno until they get that issue resolved. Otherwise it’s a great program.
