MacOS Beta and iOS Beta

Apple has released new beta versions of macOS Sierra 10.12.2 beta 5, iOS 10.2 beta 6, and watchOS 3.1.1 beta 5.

If this sounds like deja vu, iOS 10.2 beta 6 is indeed different from iOS 10.2 beta 5 that was released just a few short days ago.

Alongside bug fixes in each of the respective betas, the new macOS and iOS betas include new wallpapers, new emoji icons, and minor feature enhancements and improvements to the operating systems.

Users who are participating in the public beta or developer beta testing programs can find the new versions available now through the software update mechanisms on each device running a prior beta build.

While no public timeline for the final versions of MacOS 10.12.2 and iOS 10.2 are known, it’s widely assumed the versions will be released to the public in the coming weeks.

Ever since updating my SE, it has actually seemed kinda sluggish and quirky. Ran it on the last version of 9, and it was smooth. Now, odd things have been happening, especially gui-related.

When clicking back to the home screen after quitting an app in Landscape mode, the phone gets stuck with a blurred background, and the home screen buttons turned sideways. Until you hit the home button again or reboot, it stays that way.

And things don’t fully load on some apps, the WeatherUnderground app comes up missing the “Sunrise/Sunset” info…it is blank, every time. I have to quit and relaunch for it to pop back in, and then it only works if I scroll very slowly to get the info up.

So it’s been kind of annoying to notice the sluggishness. Hope they have fixed that, somehow.

Who needs fixes to the battery collapse bug in iOS 10 or the nonstop crashing in Mac Sierra when we have new emojis??

    • I have never heard of those “bugs”. Why don’t you call AppleCare? macOS Sierra has functioned perfectly for me, and I’m far from just a basic user.

Sierra crashes nonstop for you? Really? Not for me. Hasn’t crashed once even. And never heard of this battery collapse insect before – my iphone battery works fine in iOS 10.
