MacOS Catalina beta

MacOS Catalina 10.15.2 beta 3 has been released by Apple for testing by Mac users enrolled in the Mac system software beta testing program.

Usually a developer beta build becomes available first, soon followed by the same beta build as a public beta version.

MacOS Catalina 10.15.2 beta 3 is likely to focus on bug fixes, improvements, and enhancements to the MacOS Catalina operating system. It’s unclear if any new features will be included in the release.

There have been mixed reports of problems with macOS Catalina experienced by some users who are running the current MacOS Catalina release, and some of these issues may be addressed in macOS 10.15.2.

Mac users who are enrolled in the MacOS beta testing program can find MacOS Catalina 10.15.2 beta 3 update available to download now from the “Software Update” section of System Preferences.

The most recently available stable final build of MacOS Catalina is currently MacOS Catalina 10.15.1.

Separately, Apple is also beta testing iOS 13.3, iPadOS 13.3, watchOS 6.1.1, and tvOS 13.3.

Apple typically issues multiple beta versions of system software before issuing a final build to the general public. Therefore it’s reasonable to expect that macOS 10.15.2 final could be released within the coming weeks or months.
