iPod Vending Machines? Oh My!
Did you know there are iPod vending machines out there?
A reader sent in the following picture of an iPod vending machine, which is really quite an interesting concept.
I don’t think these are officially supported by Apple by any means, but they seem to be popping up in malls and airports all over the place around the world.
I wonder if they’ll soon be selling the iPad and Macs? Maybe even an iPhone? Who knows?
Get an Apple device, a candy bar, and a drink, all from the same row of vending machines, I suppose.
You guys are dumb… Lol talking about the merchandise “dropping”.
It’s very clear to see that the slot is on the right side not beneath and do you see that long white rectangular box? Its a conveyer belt that moves towards the merchandise…. Retards

Saw one in a Michigan mall many months ago.
Saw those years ago at Vegas airport and was buffled. Now and old shoe… ;)
Thief magnet, if Apple Stores are being broken into it’s only a matter of time before their vending machine gets forklifted away with the thousands in merchandise.
And who wants to buy an iPod after it has dropped 5 feet?

lol. they have these at SFO. though how are you going to charge them or sync them if you don’t have a laptop. they also have a psp and ds vending machine. funny thing is they actually sell at retail prices.
iPods can charge without using a laptop. There are wall chargers.
These things have been available at airports and abroad for a while now, interesting yes, old news though.
Agreed. But they are starting to show up in more and more places. I’ve actually seen one around the corner from an Apple store. They’re definitely not affiliated with Apple. Someone HAS to personally own them and stock them.
Looks like a tempting target for thieves!
Also I can see some smashed packaging if they are the type that drops your selection from the front of the rack!
