Apple Runs iPhone 7 Romeo & Juliet Commercial
Apple has started running a new iPhone 7 commercial featuring two children acting out the Shakespeare drama Romeo and Juliet.
The advertisement is intended to emphasize the iPhone 7 camera, which is shown recording the play and using the devices digital zoom feature to zoom into a scene.
Text overlaying the commercial states:
Your movies look like movies on iPhone 7
practically magic
The quip “your movies look like movies” suggests the iPhone camera capabilities and overall quality is sufficient to make home movies look like a motion picture.
The commercial is embedded below for easy viewing:
The Romeo and Juliet ad is running now alongside the Apple Frankenstein Christmas commercial and the MacBook Touch Bar ‘Bulbs’ ad.
“O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?”
Yep, creepy. Kids way too young for story they are acting and guy filming looks like a greasy pedophile!
I’m intrigued, is the actor holding the phone filming it meant to look like Steven Spielberg?
This ad is creepy.
Kissing scenes for kids this age.. what idiots though this appropriate? Morons!
Agreed, Char. I absolutely HATE that this commercial is being shown ad infinitum during NFL games! Why not portray KIDS being the clumsy, stupid, funny creatures that they truly are? Only pedophiles make commercials like this. It’s their sick fantasy.
In the end, both kids commit suicide.
LOL! Yes! Perfect ending to an obnoxious commercial.
iPhone 7? Romeo and Juliet?
– Oh Romeo, I always wanted an iPhone 7 but I never got one. With out an iPhone 7, life’s not worth living. I shall commit suicide.
– Oh Juliet, why did you do it!? I got an iPhone 7 for my birthday and I hate it. It doesn’t even have a headphone jack. Life’s not worth living without a headphone jack. I shall commit suicide, too.
I feel like it should go on a bit longer…
– Oh Romea, I have wasted so much money on my iWatch and not it’s dead in under a year.
– Oh Juliet, I can no longer wait for my AirPods, I know they will only get lost like our tiny AppleTV remote.
