Beta 3 of iOS 12.2 Released for Testing
Apple has released iOS 12.2 beta 3 to users enrolled in the beta testing program for iPhone and iPad system software.
The new iOS beta build arrives alongside tvOS 12.2 beta 3 and watchOS 5.2 beta 3, while macOS 10.14.4 beta 3 was released a day earlier.
iOS 12.2 beta likely primarily focuses on bug fixes, improvements, and security enhancements, but the beta builds also include a handful of minor changes and small features. For example, iOS 12.2 beta includes new Animoji characters, including a giraffe, tusked wild pig, owl, and a shark.
Users enrolled in the iOS beta testing programs can find the iOS 12.2 beta 3 update available now from the Settings app.
Separately, beta testers of MacOS, watchOS, and tvOS can also find beta updates available for those system software versions through their respective software update mechanisms.
The most recent stable builds of Apple system software are currently iOS 12.1.4 for iPhone and iPad, MacOS 10.14.3 Supplemental Update for Macs (which is an additional update to 10.14.3), watchOS 5.1.3 for Apple Watch, and tvOS 12.1.2 for Apple TV.
