iOS 12.4 beta 2

Apple has issued the second beta version of iOS 12.4 to users enrolled in the iPhone and iPad beta testing programs. Both developer beta and public beta builds are available.

iOS 12.4 beta 2 is available now via the Software Update mechanism for any eligible iPhone or iPad.

It’s not entirely clear what the focus of iOS 12.4 beta is, but presumably the update will address bug fixes and offer other enhancements to the operating system.

MacOS 10.14.6 beta is in simultaneous testing, but the second beta for that has yet to be released and remains as beta 1.

Apple usually goes through a variety of beta versions before issuing a final build. While no known timeline is available for the release of iOS 12.4, it’s conceivable that iOS 12.4 final will be released at or near their Worldwide Developer Conference next month.

Apple is widely expected to offer a sneak peak at the next generation of operating systems at WWDC 2019 on June 3, giving developers and the public a first look at iOS 13 and MacOS 10.15.

The most recent stable builds of system software for Apple devices are currently iOS 12.3 for iPhone and iPad, and macOS 10.14.5 for Mac.

So with this latest update there is an ad for iTunes and the App Store when you open the app for Apple Pay thus moving all the credit cards down the screen…. really annoying!
