Apple has announced the all new Apple Watch Series 5, with an always-on display.

The new Apple Watch was launched today along with a new base level iPad 10.2″ model, along with the new iPhone 11, and iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

The Apple Watch Series 5 screen now dims when not in focus, and brightens when the Apple Watch is raised or tapped. Other notable features for Apple Watch Series 5 include the following:

  • Always on display
  • New built-in Compass
  • International emergency calling
  • Aluminum, stainless steal, ceramic, and titanium finishes
  • 18 hour battery life

Apple Watch Series 5 starts at $399 for GPS capabilities, and starts at $499 for the cellular model.

Separately, Apple is also continuing to offer Apple Watch Series 3 for $199.

Pre-orders for Apple Watch Series 5 start today (Sept 10), and the device ships on September 20.

    18 hour battery is a joke. Until apple watch is capable of 5+ days on a single charge I wouldn’t even consider buying it…
