OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Supplemental Update 2 Released for 2012 Macs
Owners of 2012 model year Macs have a minor update available for OS X Mountain Lion. Labeled “OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Supplemental Update 2.0”, the small system update resolves issues with Keychain that were specific to Macs released this year. No other issues are mentioned, and the update is unavailable to other Mac users. This Supplemental Update is not be confused with the general OS X 10.8.2 update released a few months prior, which was available for all Macs.
If your Mac is eligible for the update, you will find it available as a notification from Software Update shortly. You can also download it immediately from the Mac App Store, or get it directly from Apple.
What about a fix for the constant lock ups??
I’ve rolled back to lion as a result.
Im starting to think that they are pushing OS’s out to fast and are lacking the level of quality we expect from apple.
MBP Retina display…
When try to install the update, it says “not supported for your system” … or smth like that …
Just got the notification, downloaded and installed ok.
Never noticed an issue with keychain anyway.
Says not compatible with my software. Running Mountain Lion + Server.
Then you do not have a 2012 Mac that needs the update. That’s why it’s only for 2012 Macs.
The app store told me I had an update, but when I clicked on it to install, it instantly told me I couldn’t have it. Macbook Pro, mid-2012. And I haven’t noticed any keychain issues either.
Me neither. Security issue?
I have a 2012 MBAir and never noticed any Keychain problems
