Get the 15 New Default iOS 9 Wallpapers for iPhone

New iOS 9 default wallpaper collection

The latest beta releases of iOS 9 include a set of fifteen new fancy wallpapers, featuring stunning imagery of landscapes shot from the sky, a trio of planets, feathers and other natural textures, and what looks like holi paint splatters. But you don’t have to wait until the final release of iOS 9 to enjoy these yourself, you can download the entire collection of wallpapers sized for the iPhone now.

Why just the iPhone? Well, whoever extracted the images did so from an iPhone iOS 9 IPSW file, meaning they’re all sized at 1152 × 2048 resolution – perfect for iPhone and iPod Touch, but not quite appropriate for the iPad or a desktop (perhaps settle for the gorgeous new Glacier Point shot from the latest OS X El Capitan builds). So if you want to enjoy the fancy new iOS 9 wallpapers on an iPhone or iPod touch, go ahead and download the full zip pack of images, otherwise larger screened devices may want to wait for the iPad versions to pop-up, which someone is sure to extract shortly.

Choose either of the mirrored download links below to grab the full wallpaper pack, it’s about 45mb as a ZIP file:

Thanks to RedmondPie for providing the download links to the wallpaper packs.

Don’t want to get the entire collection? Another option is to download each individual wallpaper image separately, which have been hosted by 9to5mac, click any link below to launch into a new window with the appropriate image:

You may notice the wonderful colorful wave wallpaper isn’t in the list, which could be intentional or a mishap, but it’s still available elsewhere for users who want the default wallpaper from earlier iOS 9 builds.

Any new ringtones? I always found it odd that Apple never really creates new ringtones with their iOS releases.

I’m so happy to see Apple has their priorities in order!!! New wallpapers should not even be in in a new iOS version until update 5 at least.
