iOS 9.1 beta 3

Apple has released iOS 9.1 beta 3 for users participating in the beta testing program.

The update arrives as build 13B5130b is available now from the iOS Developer Center and software update mechanism on compatible iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices running prior iOS 9.1 beta versions.

iOS 9.1 beta 3 continues to focus on improvements to the mobile operating system, adding new emoji characters like a taco and burrito, and including a few additional settings options for features in iOS 9. Presumably there will be bug fixes and performance improvements included in the update as well when the version becomes available to the public.

Currently, iOS 9.1 beta 3 is only available to registered iOS developers, but typically Apple releases the same beta version for iOS Public Beta users soon after.

For users not in the beta programs, iOS 9.0.2 update is available to download as well.

There is no known timeline for iOS 9.1 to be released to the public, though there is some expectation the final release may arrive alongside the new Apple TV and iPad Pro later in the year.
