5 New Apple TV Commercials Focus on Games & Video Services
Apple is running several commercials for the new fourth generation Apple TV, demonstrating various games and video streaming services on the television device.
Each commercial starts off with the Apple TV logo laid over the classic six color spectrum of Apple of yesteryear, followed by a demonstration of a streaming app or game on the device, and a quick look at the Apple TV home screen. The ads are running now on television and have been embedded below for easy viewing.

Great find Claire, thanks for pointing us to the exact song and sheet music for the song in the Apple TV commercials!
I also would like to know what the music is in the Apple TV ad.
I would love to know what piece Ms. Geffen is performing. That clarinet solo rocked!
Adrienne Geffen plays the clarinet in the Apple TV ad
I am also looking for the clarinet player in the commercial!
Who plays the great clarinet solo in the ad? I hope it’s a real player and not some digital thing as that would be really sad…
I don’t give a damn about Apple or their products but can someone PLEASE tell me…
What SONG is that? It has an AMAZING clarinet solo in the beginning!
Who played that awesome clarinet solo during your Apple TV commercial?
I am happy to hear HBO is now Apple TV. I am also a hard core fan of Asphalt game.
Why do you think they picked the rainbow motif?
The Apple logo used to be a rainbow apple

It was a rainbow Apple until around 1999 when it switched to the grey / black / white version you see now.
The fourth generation Apple TV is arguably one of the best products Apple, or any tech company, has ever actually brought to market. It is as if iPhone and Nintendo Wii had a baby.
The UI hands-down blows away games consoles and all other streaming boxes. It is Apple Music/iTunes centric but gives fluid operation of Netflix and HBONow.
It’s killer feature is the new App Store and tvOS. I would not be surprised how fast this will grow and how much market share Apple will take away from Sony and Microsoft. Consoles, based on DVD/BluRay, added streaming and online as an afterthought. Apple TV is built totally on a clean new OS and new app store. I have had zero buffering and fluid, impressive game play.
The Siri remote searches fast and across platforms. This was clearly Steve Jobs pet project and it feels polished and fun. Most console users buy it for basic DVD playing and industry statistics prove most console user on buy a few games, less than five in fact. I have purchased 12 games so far on the TV app store with only weeks of ownership. It is fun unit to use for guests as games load fast and are easy to play.
The new Apple TV is amazing and will be huge for Apple. Once Nintendo games become available as well as lighter versions of console games the very idea of the game console becomes obsolete. Cloud gaming is truly here at last.
I wound up returning my ATV4, as the whole family preferred the previous generation. My 12 year old said the games all suck, and my wife had trouble reading white fonts on a light grey background. The remote was hard to use, so mostly they uses the (paired) Harmony smart physical remote. In 20 years of buying thousands of dollars of Apple products, this is the first time I returned anything to Apple. They blew it.
I do not see the point. I bought a third gen Apple TV. I used it maybe twice before I gave it away. I use my Android TV. It has twice the ROM,, twice the RAM and costs about the same.
Games on the Mac. It’s as if they have lost their freaking minds in the Apple advertising department. What games? COD. Period. Games on the Mac. That is hysterically funny. Games on the Mac. Yes, games. LOLOLOLOLOL
Well in this case, it’s games on the Apple TV, not the Mac. The Apple TV is even less powerful than a Mac, so your gaming is probably better on a Mac than an Apple TV. Much better on a new iPhone. Even better on an console. Even better on a PC. Gamers who are serious are using PS4, XbOne, PC.
I have an Xbox one. No need for an Apple TV. What would it do for me? Friend has a PlayStation 4 and has the same feeling. We are Mac people too. But Apple TV is an iTunes front end and has weak games with 200mb limit before it has to download more. That download happen every time you play a game! Crazy bandwidth use. Maybe Apple TV 6 will be cool but this is a product that Apple has not made interesting, maybe for people with no real gaming console?
I agree. But Apple have something here. There are lots of people that like simple games and this will work for them.
I don’t believe those with consoles will switch as the quality/complexity/availabiltiy of games is much more where they are right now, but for those that like things like Flappy Bird – it’s a winner.
