iOS 11.2.5 Beta 6 Released for Testing
Apple has released the sixth beta version of iOS 11.2.5 for users enrolled in the iOS beta testing program.
iOS 11.2.5 beta 6 arrives just several days after beta 5 of the same iOS version was released, perhaps indicating the final public version will be due sooner than later.
Users with iPhone and iPad devices enrolled in the iOS beta testing program can find iOS 11.2.5 beta 6 available to download now via the Software Update mechanism of the Settings app.
Typically a beta version is first made available to Developers, with a Public Beta version soon following. Anyone can participate in either beta testing program, though registering as a Developer requires an annual $99 fee.
No significant new features are expected in iOS 11.2.5, though there is a capability of asking Siri to hear the news, which will provoke Siri to read back a shortened clip of reporting from NPR, Washington Post, Fox News, or CNN.
Separately, Apple has released tvOS 11.2.5 beta 6 for Apple TV as well. Apple TV beta testers can find the latest version available to download via the Settings app on their tvOS device.
Yesterday, Apple released macOS 10.13.3 beta 5 for Mac beta testers too.
