Beta 3 of iOS 11.4.1 & macOS 10.13.6 Released for Testing
Apple has released the third beta versions of iOS 11.4.1, macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, and tvOS 11.4.1 for users who are beta testing the current suite of system software from Apple.
The small point release updates to system software are typically focused on bug fixes, security improvements, and minor enhancements, and are unlikely to be working on any major new features for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV. That is particularly likely now that future generation operating systems are currently under beta development with iOS 12, macOS Mojave 10.14, and tvOS 12.
macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 beta 3 is available from the Mac App Store Updates tab for users participating in the High Sierra beta testing programs. If you’re currently running macOS Mojave 10.14 beta then you will not see the 10.13.6 beta available, at least without downgrading from macOS Mojave beta first back to a High Sierra beta build.
iOS 11.4.1 beta 3 is available now from the Software Update mechanism of the Settings app in iOS. Note that if you’re on the iOS 12 beta channel, then iOS 11.4.1 beta releases will not be available to you without downgrading from iOS 12 beta then enrolling in the iOS 11 beta program.
Apple usually goes through a variety of beta versions before releasing a final version to the general public, suggesting that macOS 10.13.6 and iOS 11.4.1 final are probably another month or more away from a release.
Meanwhile, the MacOS Mojave release date is set for the fall along with the final release of iOS 12 which is scheduled roughly for the same general time frame.
