The Sims 4 available for free for limited time

Want a goofy game where you get to play around with virtual people in a virtual world? The Sims 4 is an interesting game where you create and control people in a virtual world. You can give your simulated people careers, relationships, control their houses and neighborhoods, and provide all sorts of other customizations to your virtual humans and their environment, which they will live in and interact with.

Sound fun? Great, because for a limited time (until May 28, 2019) it’s available as a free download for Mac and Windows PC!

Click the “Get it Free” button and you’ll need to create a new EA account or sign-in with an existing one.

Sims 4 System Requirements for Mac

Wondering if you can run The Sims 4 on your Mac? The system requirements are fairly generous. According to EA, The Sims 4 has the following system requirements for Mac:

MINIMUM SPECS:

The Sims 4 will *NO LONGER BE SUPPORTED* on Non-Metal Mac OS machines or PC 32-bit Operating Systems. See FAQ here.

OS: Mac OS® X 10.7.5 (Lion) or newer

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz Processor or better

RAM: At least 4 GB RAM

HARD DRIVE: At least 14 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games

VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT, ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro or better. Video RAM of 256MB or better

INPUT: Keyboard and Mouse

ONLINE REQUIREMENTS: Internet connection required for product activation.

RECOMMENDED SPECS:

OS: Mac OS® X 10.9 or later

PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5 or better

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 650 or better

MEMORY: 8GB RAM

HARD DRIVE: 18 GB of Hard Drive space

The system requirements for Windows PC are a bit lighter, and are available to check out on the EA website as well.

    Requires an Origin sign-up and a $6.99/month subscription to play.

    This is not a stand-alone app. You need to download Origin to use it.
