Beta 2 of iOS 13.1 & iPadOS 13.1 Released for Testing

Public beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13

Apple has released iOS 13.1 beta 2 and iPadOS 13.1 beta 2 for users enrolled in the developer beta testing program.

A matching public beta build is also available for users who are participating in the public beta programs.

iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 betas include a handful of features that were originally included in the iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 betas, including Shortcuts Automations, but were later removed from the those 13.0 beta versions.

Other minor changes and inclusions in the iPadOS and iOS 13.1 betas are updated dynamic wallpapers, a sharing arrival time feature in Maps, some adjustments to mouse support, and other small features and adjustments.

Users who are enrolled in the beta testing programs for iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 will find the latest update available now from the “Software Update” section of the Settings app.

The version is labeled as “iPadOS 13.1 Developer beta 2” for iPad and “iOS 13.1 Developer beta 2” for iPhone and iPod touch, or “public beta” for those releases.

Presumably iOS 13.1 and ipadOS 13.1 will be released as final versions soon after the launch of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13.

Apple has said that iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 will be available on compatible devices to the general public this fall, along with MacOS Catalina for Mac, watchOS 6 for Apple Watch, and tvOS 13 for Apple TV.
